As many of you know, a good friend of mine was in a car accident on Memorial Day. Tray has some scrapes and bruises, but it's a different story for Zack. He was Life Flighted to Danville where he underwent brain surgery. He currently lies in a coma at the Janet Weis Children's Hospital. He shows little signs of improvement almost every day but has a long, difficult road ahead of him. Zack needs everyone's prayers, hope and love to help him wake up and pull through this.
Likewise, Tray and Jay also need our help. Life Flight alone costs $15,000. Plus medical bills, travel costs, rehab and after care. To help them out, my boyfriend & his sister are putting together a dodgeball tournament.
We haven't made any definite plans yet; we need to see if we can get enough people first. So, here's the deal.
We want to hold it on a Sunday in July. It would most likely run from 11 a.m. to 7 or 8ish. Teams are 10 people, at least 2 or 3 girls. It will be $5 per person. The tournament would run double elimination.
We need to know who is interested, who can get a team together, and which Sunday would work best. If all works out well, there will be a trophy for the winning team and hopefully some raffles.
But before we can make any definite plans, we need to make sure we have body power. So...whoever is interested, get back to me. Again, teams are 10 people, at least 2 or 3 girls, $5 per person. Let me know by next weekend, the 14th.
